Title:  Hydroblasting Technicians Job Code: TECHNICIANS 05-1000

Description:

    JOB FUNCTIONS
    Duties may include, but are not limited to,the following:

  • Hands-on operation, when required, of manual and automated hydroblasting equipment.
  • Operation of special equipment, such as Ultra High Pressure sprayers.
  • Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and/or any specialized hydroblasting and/or chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment being used on the job.
  • May be required to examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job.
  • Occasionally work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+degree Fahrenheit, 98% humidity; and sub-zero weather conditions) relative to geographic location.
  • Exposured to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust and highly pressurized fluids. (A respirator will be provided when required.)
  • Exposed to noise levels exceed 85 dBA (hearing protection is provided and required)
  • Supervise and perform the clean-up after the job by putting all equipment and materials in the proper location on the company truck.
  • Interface with customer representatives regarding job setup and scope, ensure performance and customer requirements are met or exceeded and company policies and procedures are implemented at the job site.
  • Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands-on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions.
  • Report to the branch manager or the designee and implement procedures to obtain results specified by the branch manager.
  • PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

  • Must be capable of working up to 16 hours per shift.
  • Hear and distinguish emergency signals while on duty.
  • Execute a 180-degree rotary motion of the cervical spine in order to allow complete movement of the head and neck.
  • Must be able to extend arms above head.
  • Frequently bend at waist, stoop, and squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
  • Must be able to hold and operate with both hands a double trigger hydroblast shotgun and other hydroblast equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and maintain a minimum of 40lbs.
  • Must be able to tolerate being wet from head to toe for an unlimited amount of time on some occasions.
  • Must be willing to climb ladders and work from scaffolding and stationary platforms up to heights of 200 feet.
  • Must be able to tolerate and function in confined spaces of a minimum of five (5) foot inside diameter.
  • Must be physically capable of using both negative pressure and air supplied respirators.
  • Must be able to wear protective clothing and/or equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, nomex coveralls, a back belt, slickers, rubber boots, a fresh air breathing mask and escape pack, and a hard hat.
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
  • Must have a basic high school Level Mathematical development: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Substance abuse testing is required for all personnel prior to hiring and periodically thereafter.
  • Must have excellent attendance.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and able to operate emergency equipment such as a fire extinguisher and retrieval systems for rescue.

    The Contracts Administrator’s overall job responsibility is to facilitate company-wide contract support. This process is accomplished by performing the following job duties:

    • Review, Negotiate and Finalize Awarded Contracts (all types including master agreements and 1x Jobs)
    • Review and Respond to Bid Requests
    • Draft and Finalize Subcontracts (includes obtaining qualifications)
