By
law, various state and local authorities require air quality
efficiencies for storage tanks in refineries, chemical plants
and terminals to meet a minimum of 90% vapor reductions before
vapors can be released into the atmosphere. These
laws mean that you must maintain certain levels of safety
and air quality when emptying or cleaning tanks containing
volatile organic chemicals (VOCs). The vapors left inside
the tanks are hazardous to personnel health. Therefore, proper
degassing measures are a must. Fluids that are degassed include
gasoline, benzene and crude oil.
HydroChem’s Thermal Oxidizer
safely and efficiently controls volatile organic compounds
(VOCs) in tank cleaning, sludge processing, and stand-alone
degassing applications, and does so at efficiency ratings
of more than 99%. This hi-efficiency air scrubbing is just
one more reason why HydroChem continues to lead the way with
innovation, engineering, safety and environmental responsibility.
Because of our high efficiency, HydroChem’s
Thermal Oxidizer is permitted to work in some of the most
stringent air quality controlled states including California,
Texas, and Louisiana. |
